Ah Fat Seafood Restaurant in Davao

Ah Fat Seafood Restaurant is said to be the best seafood place in Davao City. It must be true. Because I was brought to have lunch here in two occasions by two different peple. And it's the only property at Victoria Carpark with another branch just about 30 feet away. Victoria Carpark looks like the Greenhills Shopping Center circa 1980s. There's Victoria Mall, which is like your Shoppesville, and there's a row of restaurants awaiting once you cross the parking area. Ah Fat isn't exactly one that would fit the criteria of a fine dining joint but you'll soon forget about the simple and old-fashioned interiors once they serve the food. I got to try the rock lobsters, which were cooked with a generous serving of garlic. Really good. They've also got steamed fish of your choice, several chicken dishes, and good shark's fin soup. Down your chow with a refreshing glass of pomelo shake. You can never go wrong with Davao's pomelos. I didn't get to take a peek at the total bill but judging from the number of customers coming and going, I think a meal of good seafood at Ah Fat is pretty reasonable.
