The past 25 years or so have resulted in the fast growth of the, um, fast food business, of which burgers are a staple. Unless you’re a vegetarian, you’ve probably eaten dozens of burgers in your lifetime. So why is this article about burgers still?
Well, some burgers are so special, they’re worth a try. These are the charbroiled burgers of Gourmet’s Palate. First of all, the patties don’t taste like meat tenderizers, so you get to enjoy beef in all its charbroiled glory. If you’re the type who lifts the upper bun to check whether you get your money’s worth, you’ll be happy to see one fat burger patty lying flat right up to the outer rim of the lower bun.
But, wait! That’s not the best part. You get to choose among ten or so different flavors, which, basically are the different spreads or sauces they put on top of the burger patties. Blue Thunder gives the rich taste of blue cheese. Don Corleone has pesto and was probably created by an Italian mafia member (hehe). Samurai is for the more adventurous because, yes, it’s got wasabi! The restaurant offers more conventional flavors like mushroom, garlic, chili – all of which enhance the yumminess of the classic burger.
Gourmet’s Palate has three branches in the south area – Phase 1 and Phase 3 of BF Homes ParaƱaque (both along Aguirre Ave.) and one right across Honda and Isuzu Alabang (near Alabang-Zapote Road). It won’t cost you more than 80 pesos for one burger.
