I used to be curious how other people - especially those from other countries - book their travels online. Choosing an airline and picking a good fight, I mean flight, are very complicated processes and the least you'd want to happen is to book yourself a flight elsewhere when all you wanted was to get some R&R in Bora. Then there's also that nagging thought that someone might hack your credit card details and max out your credit limit. Stress!
Well, I've done some online booking myself for both personal and business trips. (Somehow, the latter sounds better. It might be because I use someone else's credit card for those. Hehe.) Personally I find online booking at Cebu Pacific easier because their website is more dynamic. You may also book your flights through the Philippine Airlines website. I think the smaller airlines also offer either online booking or they make you leave your contact details so they can call you for your reservation.
Here are some pros and cons to booking your trips online.
Pros:
No long lines at the ticketing office.
You can book your fight anytime and anywhere.
You can book you flight while in your pajamas.
Cons:
You need to print the e-ticket so you have something to show at the airport.
If their system conks out or you experience a web page error, this might bring you to minor panic state. “Was I already charged for that?” “Was I hacked?” Etc. etc. It’s a bit of a hassle but what you need to do is call your credit card company and ask if the transaction got through or not.
E-ticket anyone?
